Andrew Thwaite
Andrew graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with ‘Distinction’ July 2003. Whilst there he played the roles of Mr Erlanson in A Little Night Music, Jake (and numerous morph’s) in Stones in his Pockets, & Jack Worthing in The Importance of Being Earnest. Prior to the Post Graduate course he notched up a fair few productions in the North West of England and has been fortunate enough to perform on numerous occasions at one of the country’s finest and largest theatres – The Liverpool Empire. Other credits include: Will Parker Oklahoma; Mr Lawrence Her Benny (Liverpool Empire); David Copperfield; Bobby Crazy for You; Danilo The Merry Widow; & Kipps Half a Sixpence (New Cambridge, Lancashire). Andrew provided backing vocals for Elton John’s 2004 UK Tour (Birmingham NEC, Wembley & Royal Albert Hall) and prior to that for Elton’s Gala Concert at the Royal Opera House – Covent Garden.
Andrew has worked extensively for Gabor Presser (Hungarian Rock Star), who has a long running Musical of 17years called A Padlas (The Attic), which has just been translated into English by Laurence Roman. Andrew recorded lead vocals for this translation. There was a showcase of the musical in the West End on the 18th and 19th May 2005 with a full cast of professional actors including Warwick Evans and Pat Caine. The aim is to have the show up and running in the UK in the next couple of years.
Footsteps to the Moon was a great success in its short run at the White Bear Theatre, Kennington, and then later at the Cockpit Theatre. Where the musical goes next is still to be decided.
Andrew joined The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre, Haymarket in August 2005. This was Andrew's West End debut. He is covered Raoul and was fortunate to play the role many times until he left in September 2007.
While at Phantom Andrew also performed in other productions, cabarets and concerts. Including:
The Maid of the Mountains in which he played Lft. Ruginni/Andrea in The Maid of the Mountains – a performance at the Finborough Theatre, directed by David Dorian and with a cast made up of West End actors.

In 2007 Andrew also completed a film by Jonathon Sendall, Worst Enemy.

A fantastic updated high energy high fashion version of the Gilbert and Sullivan Classic in which Andrew plays the wandering minstrel Nanki Poo. Another amazing cast including Simon Butteriss, Ian Belsey Louise Crane, Abigail Iveson, Pam Hay and David Woloszko. Directed by the very capable hands of Jeff Clarke.
The tour runs from 10th Jan to 24th Feb with two additional dates in April.
